I started my fashion brand KAELA KAY and my fashion journey 12 years ago with an idea, passion, and heart. Over the years I have pushed my way through business storms; pushed my way into fashion spaces; and absorbed a tremendous amount of lessons along the way. The one thing I know for certain is that the entrepreneurship journey can be lonely. I didn’t have a brand consultant, long-term mentor, or just a trusted industry insider whom I could bounce ideas off of and get honest feedback or insights from. I want to change that for your journey.

In the beginning, as my business slowly grew so did the responsibilities of wearing many hats. From designing, to sourcing fabric, to finding production teams, to finding buyers, marketing - it was a lot for a 1 person team! I wish I had resources and connections all in one place that I could connect with to answer questions and find information.

I’ve worked with several retailers, big and small, including Holt Renfrew, Hudson’s Bay, and TSC. I’ve experienced many runway shows including NYFW, Toronto FW, African FW Toronto and LAFW. I’ve consulted with production houses in Canada, Italy, Africa, Portugal and China. Let’s just say I’ve had a multitude of experiences on this non-linear entrepreneurship fashion journey.
